In the 1920's America's economy started to boom, because veterans were just starting to return from the War. Because of this boom it created more job opportunities for people, one of them being the assembly line. Now people started to make money, and they spent their money on items like cars Model-T Ford which they managed to sell 15 million cars by 1927. People also started listening to the radio, and dancing in the dancing Hall, dancing the Charleston was a popular dance at this time. Not only that, but other things were also happening like the republican presidents at the time were determined on isolating the USA from all the other countries. This is also the time were prohibition started, and because of the this mobs and gangs began to form one of them being Al Capone's gang.

The greatest cause of the great Depression was the overproduction of crops. The demand was low compared to what they had in supply. The president didn't help the farmers because according to him "Farmers have always been poor." Since the president did nothing, the situation got worse and became the first sign of the Depression on the way. In class it felt exhilarating to gain so much money with my stocks, I was second highest pre-stock crash, but I was also second lowest in therms of money lost after the crash. My strategy was to buy Coal, and Iron. However, when the stocks crashed, I knew i had to buy Wheat. Unfortunately nobody wanted to trade with me, causing me to have the most severe results. In the end I was in debt by approximately 43,000 dollars.

One example of what these New Deals accomplished is the Hoover Dam. Along with the New Deal, the different Alphabet Agencies involved the US government to help the USA get out of the depression. In the end the Alphabet Agencies and the New Deal did slowly, but surely made a difference in helping America recover from the depression.
