This was Gemany's plan to take over Russia. Even though Germany broke the Non-Aggression pact with Russia they thought by using Blitzrig as a attic they could take over Russia quickly, and although they did gain numerous amounts of land in Russia. The cold winter in Russia stopped Germany, this allowing Russia to win the War, and taking approximately 2 million Red army troops to prison.
